Line---The average number of people taking part in top-level football matches from 1980 to 2004 in three different countries.
The line graph displays the average number of people taking part in top-level football matches between 1980 to 2004 in Germany, England and Italy.
For Italy, the figure of involving in top-level football matches was 36 in 1980, followed by a sharp increase to 42 in 1896. Then, the number had a decrease to 30 and 28 separately in 1998 and 2004.
In term of Germany, the amount of top-level football player was 23 in 1980, before falling rapidly to 18 in 1986, afterwards, the quantity had a dramatic growth to 35 in 1998, finally, in 2004, it kept in 35.
As to England, the average number of top-level football participants was approximately 18 in 1980, it witnessed a decline to 15 in 1986, while the figure had a significant ascent to 34 in 1998, at last, it rose to 37 in 2004.
It is obvious that Germany and England had an upward trend from 1980 to 2004, whereas Italy had a downward trend in this period.
