Employers should not be concerned about the way their employees dress at work. They should only care about the quality of their work. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Today, more and more people focus on their appearance since that is a part of their life. And some staff think they need more freedom for dress code, which could keep their personality. At the same time, some people deem that discipline does not matter if they could offer a high-quality work. And in my opinion, I do not wholly agree about this.
Obviously, the main duty of a company is making the profit. Especially for the boss, they always focus on how to make more and more money rather than which your dressing today. Therefore, we should pay more attention to the problem that how could we improve the profit, rather than waste the time on the issue of the dress code. At the same time, I deem the employees should have the right to choose which they want to wear in office if they could bring an excellent outstanding to boss or managers.
On the other hand, it is well-known that more and more companies need to acquire creativity. And I deem a company could get a better development of the creativity if it abandons the discipline of dress code. Because the discipline makes everybody looks same. In other words, it is like a cage that restricts the different ideas and different creative advice from employees. So I think the staff would bring more efficient performances if the managers open this "cage".
Actually, a plenty of positions need the dress code. Such as lawyer, businessman, salesmen or government officer. Because it makes them to looks like more professional and formal. On the other hand, it is not only a respect for their occupation but also is a homage to their clients. So the dress code plays a significant role in some special career.
In conclusion, some of the occupation could release the discipline of the dress code since those companies only focus on the profits and work efficiency. But the others companies should insist on the dress code, which pays attention to professionality and formality.
