Description of crimes on media IELTS Writing P2

Give detailed description of crimes in newspaper and on television can have bad consequences. So information of this kind in the media should be restricted. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Today, massive media like give detailed information of crimes on TV and newspaper or website, such as murderer, rapist. But some people deem it would generate serious consequences in our society. In my opinion, I do not wholly agree on this.

Firstly, I think it is the efficient method that to prevent generating the next victim. Since the citizens could get the personal information of the crime(such as information of appearance, dangerous area, etc.). Therefore innocent civilians could increase their vigilance in advance.

Secondly, it is also a duty of journalism that they need bring the urgent news to everyone, especially bring the news to the police officer, sometimes, spreading the information of crime would be a crucial point to help police officer to catch the crimes.

But some people would say:" that would make a chaos in the society, particularly lead children and women fearing.". Maybe it is true, however, it is undeniable that if people could not acquire the information of the crime, they would lack the vigilance for the crime. Thereby causing more and more unfortunate criminal cases happen.

Totally, I deem it is essential that we need to ensure the know-right of citizens. At the same time, we could use it to accelerate the people to increase the vigilance in advance. For the bad influence, Perhaps, we could reduce some of the blooding pictures appearing on media, which would decrease the fear for children and women.
