Environmental problems IELTS Writing P2

Some people think environmental problems are too big for individuals to solve. Others, however, think that those problems can not be solved unless individuals take some action. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Today increasingly more pollutant affect the health of individuals and sustainable development of most countries. At the same time, environmental issues become the most serious and most urgent developing problem in the world. On this topic, some people believe the environmental problem is a too difficult task for citizens. But the others deem every one need devote the effort to solve this serious situation.

Pollution exists in our life, not only as air-pollution, water-pollution, which is chemical pollution, but also has some of constantly man-made polluting. Such as package material waste and deforestation etc. It is a wide range of environmental issue that individuals and environmental-friendly group do not have enough resource and fund to deal with this big problem, even the most of countries cannot handle this problem independently. But I deem this is not a reason why we give up to recover the self-repair ability of the earth.

Fortunately, most people and environmental-friendly group insist on protecting the environment. They refuse to use the wood products, plastic products and unrecycled products. Also, they play the role which accelerates the government to make some policy to promote the protection of the environment. But they are the small numbers of people, and they often lack money to support their environmental-friendly actions and propaganda. Sadly, some environmental-friendly actions would harm the profit of some energy companies, so sometimes, we are not merely against to the behaves of destroying the environment, but also struggle with that greedy humanity.

How can we improve this serious situation? In my opinion, we should insist those nature-protection actions, and we need to expand the size of our group, let more and more people join the action. On the other hand, finance assist, I think we cannot only depend on the fund from society group, the government should give more support to the environmental-friendly group. It is a most efficient method that the government should play the main role of control the pollutant spreading, rather than bring the responsibility to the citizens and environmental-friendly organization.
